Visitor Service Volunteers are the museum’s ambassadors. From their friendly welcome, to providing information to the visitor or caller about current or upcoming museum events and programs, these Volunteers enable guests to have an enriching and memorable experience. No experience is necessary, and training will be provided. Duties include:
- Greeting visitors
- Answering phone and transferring calls
- Providing general information to the visitor or caller about current or upcoming museum events and programs
- Recording daily attendance
- Monitoring museum security camera
- Registering guests for upcoming events and programs
- Assisting with museum store transactions
- Occasionally assisting museum staff with administrative needs
