Volunteers needed to help provide care for the 65 cats currently at Famous Fido Rescue!

Responsibilities include:

  • Feeding cats according to their dietary needs
  • Keeping their environment clean (including litter boxes)
  • Providing them with lots of love (they've been through a lot and need cuddles!)

Famous Fido Rescue specializes in helping animals who would otherwise be at high risk of euthanasia in kill shelters, so there are mainly many seniors, bonded pairs, behavioral and medical challenge animals.

Detail-oriented and responsible individuals are needed to help with their care, keeping them happy and healthy until they find their adopting homes!

We want to help make Chicago a model "NO KILL" city where every adoptable companion animal can find a good home. And by doing so, help influence the way other cities care for their companion animals. We passionately believe it can - and must - be done. We believe that responsible stewardship of Chicago land's companion animals is an imperative. And that it can happen if we all work together with this common goal.

Description

If you love dogs and /or cats and are interested in helping in any way, we are constantly looking for volunteers to help us here at the rescue. Dog Walkers, Cuddlers, Bookkeeping, Social Media, Administrative, Kennel Help, and Animal Advocates to help Network/Sponsor Animals.

Must be 17 years or older.
