Project PLASE receives numerous donations throughout the year, offsetting many expenses we might incur in support of our clients. These donations arrive daily and require coordination, sorting, and storage. When left unchecked, we could get buried in the generosity of others. Your help is really needed.
Each day we receive calls from generous people in the Baltimore metro area who wish to donate the following:
- New and Used clothing
- Baby items
- Furniture
- Housewares
- Blankets/Quilt sets
- Food items
We need help setting up appointments to receive these donations, to receipt them accordingly, to sort them, and then to place them in their designated storage areas for distribution to our clients.
We are hoping to have someone who can give at least 2-3 hours when here. Multiple days are welcome and we can be flexible with the schedule.
Project PLASE’s mission is to end homelessness through rehabilitating and empowering the whole
person.

About Project PLASE
Location:
3601 Old Frederick Road, Baltimore, MD 21229, US
Mission Statement
Project PLASE addresses homelessness in Baltimore through our transitional and permanent housing programs coupled with a continuum of housing and services to meet the special physical, mental, and emotional needs of residents. We strive to move individuals from crisis to housing stability by treating, restoring, and rehabilitating the whole person and empowering each individual to function at his or her highest level possible.
Description
The goal of Project PLASE’s transitional housing program is to house and serve homeless citizens in 24-hour supported supervision and case management with a focus on helping the individual function at the highest level.
We provide residents with three meals daily plus snacks, linens, bus tokens, assistance with medical appointments, and clothing as needed - making it easier for residents to focus on getting back on their feet.
Each resident is assigned a counselor for assistance and support. Active case management is given to assist the individual to meet his/her needs, move beyond their crisis situation, and avail him/herself of community based services and resources as appropriate.
