Support students 5-12 years old in before and after school program

Enjoy working with youth? Neighborhood House is seeking volunteers who want to work with students ages 5-12 and have the ability to provide before and after-school support for our School Age Programs.

Shifts:
M-F 7am-9am
M-F 3pm-6pm

Duties include:
-serving breakfast or snack
-helping with homework
-assisting with group projects and activities
-monitoring free choice time and recess
-serving as a mentor to students

Locations:
School Age Programs has classrooms in MLK, Chief Joseph, Boise and Sabin Schools

Experience:
-some experience working with children preferred
-interest in or knowledge of working with diverse student populations required

Commitment:
These programs operate until June 2022. We appreciate volunteers who can commit to an entire term (3 months) and have the ability to help more than one day per week. Minimum commitment is 1 day/week for 1 month.

Requirements:
*PLEASE NOTE: As of October 18, 2021, In compliance with the Multnomah County mandate, Neighborhood House requires all in-person volunteers to be fully vaccinated and have submitted proof of vaccination to humanresources@nhpdx.org.
