Mission Statement

Our mission is to support and advocate for individuals on the autism spectrum so they can live their lives with maximum independence. To support their families, and their surrounding community through support, advocacy, and education.

Description

Autism Tennessee is a non-profit organization serving the approximately 35,000 individuals and families diagnosed with autism in Middle Tennessee.

The vision of Autism Tennessee is to create a community where people on the autism spectrum and their families find respect, and acceptance. Our mission is to support and advocate for individuals on the autism spectrum so they can live as independently as they wish. To support and advocate for their families, and communities so as to create communities that are accepting of autism. For over 19 years, Autism Tennessee has provided information, support, and referrals to the autism community.

Autism Tennessee works with families to turn heartache to hope. One out of every 68 children born today will be diagnosed with autism. By investing in Autism Tennessee, families and the community are better equipped to create an inclusive culture. The only funding to support Autism Tennessee comes from individual donors, corporations, and grants. We hope you’ll consider being one of our community partners and helping to make a difference in the life of a family affected by autism.
