Habitat for Humanity of Eastern Connecticut is looking for individual Volunteers to assist in Community Outreach in Southeast Connecticut. Individuals should enthusiastically embrace and share the mission and vision of Habitat for Humanity of Eastern Connecticut. Individuals will schedule and attend Speaking Engagements and Tabling Events to represent Habitat for Humanity in a Variety of settings in Southeast Connecticut.
The individual will:
· Support and endorse the Habitat for Humanity mission.
· Posses excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
· Posses excellent public speaking skills
· Work with integrity
· Posses great organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
All speaking engagements will be coordinated with the Manager of Volunteer Services and most will be in the evenings or on weekends

Our goal is to make a difference in the lives of others, fulfill the dream of home ownership and help eliminate sub-standard housing in Eastern Connecticut.
Description
Organized in 1987, Habitat for Humanity of Eastern Connecticut (HFHECT) has constructed or rehabilitated 70 homes in our area using volunteer labor and donated building material or material purchased with donated funds. The affiliate's financial backing comes from private citizens, foundations, corporations, and area churches. Future homeowners work side by side with volunteers from the community.
