'We have members writing book notes on books they've read.
These notes are hand-written.
We need people to type them up.
You need to be able to create tables and enter into them, using any app or program that can create a .doc or .docx file. That might be Microsoft Word, Google Docs, or other type of Office program.
I can show you an example of the handwriting you will have to decypher.

You can see a title at the top. The next line is the author. Some have other information in the heading, like the year of publication, or if there is an index or bibliography. Each one is slightly different.
There are two columns. The first column has a page number. Some books have introductory pages with Roman numerals ike iii or xvi. The next column has factoids on that page that the notetaker wanted to write down.
You don't have to be perfect. If you have trouble reading a proper noun, often a search engine will help. Thjey have "fuzzy search" which means if you type in what looks like your best shot at the name, the search engine can often bring up the correct spelling.
Just do the best you can. It's hard to say, before you try, if you are going to be able to read the handwriting.

We are open to the public. There is no charge for browsing the materials or reading at our location. Operating expenses are paid for by our subscribers, who are able to borrow material. We specialize in carrying material you cannot find at the public libraries.

Filled with over 14,000 books on esoteric and unusual subjects Lots of books on astrology, Tarot, mythology, meditation, conspiracies and secret societies, indigenous and shamanic societies, many New Age gurus, teachers and cults, spiritual healings, energy work, astrology, new physics and alternative science, alternative health, including acupuncture, Reiki, herbalism, the quantum mind, and mind-body research etc.
This is a community-supported, all -volunteer organization. All the books and media are donated.
We have no affiliation. We carry material published by many sectarian organizations.
We have a list of material on our website.
We also carry magazines, CDs, DVDs, audio tapes and video tapes.
