2021 Jeff-Chalmers Flood Recovery

2021 Jeff-Chalmers Flood Recovery Project - Volunteers will assist homeowners by removing debris from 50 homes damaged during the June 24th storm water backup disaster. The neighborhoods slated to be served are Jeff-Chalmers and the Marina District on Detroit's east side. Corporate groups of five to seven persons are welcome. All participants must be 18 years of age or older and submit to a criminal background checks. Volunteers should wear waterproof work boots, protective clothing with long sleeves, and masks. This opportunity requires lifting items heavy in weight, and repeated trips up and down stairs.
