Carlton Locksley Bennett was shot and senselessly killed for a gold chair at the age of sixteen. This Foundation was created in his loving memory in order to prevent gun violence. Our Mission is to provide scholarships, tuitions, school supplies, uniform, clothes for graduation and prom, fare for transportation and food to students who are affected by urban violence and violence from firearms.

We need your help in Taking Back Our children from off the street and from gangs and to provide them with the necessary tools to be productive citizens. We are looking for passionate, dedicated and committed individuals with hearts of serving to partner with the Carlton Locksley Bennett Foundation in saving our children through education. Our work is important but we cannot save our children alone without your help, CLBF need your creativity, passion and zest to make some difference in the lives of these children. Partner with us and show these youth, children, young people as we may identify them we care. The Carlton Locksley Bennett Foundation is working and fighting against gun violence that have been stealing and destroying our children, families and communities.

As a mother my plans for my son was not to bury him at 16 years old. He has his own dreams in becoming an Engineer and also a professional soccer player. Please help us to provide these children with hope and help them fulfill their dreams and purpose for their lives. Let us take them back.

Through fundraising, the foundation provides educational scholarships for tuition, books, clothing/toiletries, school supplies, graduation/college expense and other needs, tutoring; leadership training; bereavement counseling; therapeutic and spiritual guidance. Our 2011 initiative "Taking Back The Children Campaign" through the PACT Program "Partnership Affecting Change in Teens" a mentoring program was added. CLBF is targeting Junior and High School students who are at risk of dropping out or having challenging situations preventing them from fully engaging in school.
