A Little Help is looking to make an impact on our community with volunteers willing to show some care for our older adult neighbors by volunteering to help with seasonal yard and home chores.

A Little Help's Service Saturday! brings groups of volunteers together to complete seasonal yard and home chores for older adult households. Volunteers help with tasks around an older adult home such as raking leaves, pulling weeds, washing windows, moving yard furniture into place for the season, wiping down a ceiling fan, seasonal cleaning & organizing, gutter cleaning and more...all while enjoying meeting and spending time with an older adult neighbor. Service Saturday! is an intergenerational event and volunteers include families, students and neighbors of all ages.

EVENT SCHEDULE:

8:00-9:00am: Event Kick-Off - check-in for the event plus coffee and treats!

9:00-12noon: teams will help with fall clean-up tasks at their designated older adult home

Noon-2:00pm: Service Saturday! Celebration - celebrate your hard work with food, drink, fun, stories

About A Little Help

Mission Statement

A Little Help is a nonprofit organization that connects neighbors of all ages to help older adults thrive in their homes and in their communities.

Description

A Little Help connects volunteers with older adults to help them with tasks like yardwork, transportation, and errand running to help them age well in their homes. We serve older adults in Metro Denver/Jefferson County, Fort Collins and Berthoud/Loveland, and in the Western Slope.

A Little Help
is based on the Village Model in which local resources and people of all ages are brought together to benefit both older adult members and the greater community. Sharing talents, resources and building intergenerational relationships allow older adults to age safely and thrive in their homes. Studies have shown that those who live longer, healthier lives have close relationships with their neighbors and continually find new purpose as they age.
