We are professional volunteers who serve the Town of Sykesville and Sykesville Police Department with excellence by providing professional volunteer police assistance through community engagement, policing, and supplementation at town events, gatherings and/or various police duties with the goal to help solve community problems and enhance the safety and quality of the Town of Sykesville.

Mission Statement

Volunteers who serve the Town of Sykesville and Sykesville Police Department by providing volunteer police assistance through community engagement, community policing, and supplementation at town events, gatherings and/or various police duties within their scope of engagement with the goal to solve community problems and enhance the safety and quality of the Town of Sykesville.

Description

We are a group of trained volunteers from the local community who are not compensated for their time that support the Town of Sykesville and the Sykesville Police Department.

The Sykesville Police Department Auxiliary Unit supports the Town of Sykesville through a number of engagement activities:

    • Community Policing
      • Department Awareness and Prevention Programs
      • General Engagements With Town Patrons and Businesses
      • Junior CSI
      • National Night Out
      • Community Business Engagements
    • Vehicle Patrols
    • Foot Patrols
    • Town Events
    • Social Media
