The U.S. Green Building Council of Los Angeles (USGBC-LA) is seeking a Social Media Volunteer to assist with elevating our engagement to grow our community and increase brand advocacy. This position will be remote and will monitor and moderate all social media communities daily for insight, action, questions, comments, and thought leadership opportunities using social media tools. The candidate will also have the opportunity to create content.

Preferred Qualifications
● Applicant must be knowledgeable with the usage of major social media platforms (IG, FB, Twitter, LinkedIn), and GSuite.
● Currently enrolled student in Marketing, Communications, Environmental Studies, or related field.
● Great written and verbal communication skills.

This volunteer period is slated to begin in the fall of 2021 and will work closely with the Marketing Manager and Marketing Coordinator. This volunteer role is unpaid but eligible for school credit (please indicate your interest in receiving credit in your application). USGBC-LA is a 501(c)3 Nonprofit Organization dedicated to promoting sustainability in LA County's built environment by delivering access to knowledge, resources, recognition, and networking. Start Date: Fall 2021
Expected time commitment: 5-10 hours/week
Length of Time: 3 months - 6 months
