CALLING ALL VOLUNTEERS!

Move For Hunger is looking for a few individuals near our home office to help us put together Food Recovery Kits for our growing network of apartment community partners.

What’s A "Food Recovery Kit"?

A Food Recovery Kit is provided to new apartments as an introduction to the program and provides the tools to help them collect food for local food banks. We couldn’t do it without them!

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Putting together the cardboard Welcome Kit Box
  • Filling the box with items such as shirts, stickers, and food collection bags, etc.

42 million Americans struggle with hunger while 35% of the food produced in the US ends up getting thrown away. Move For Hunger has collected more than 28 million pounds of food to date - providing more than 24 million meals to individuals in need.

2 Shifts

  • 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM
    Times can be flexible
  • afternoon / 12:00 PM to 04:00 PM
    Times can be flexible

Move For Hunger, a 501(c) (3), is working to end hunger and food waste in America. Nearly 42 million Americans struggle with hunger while 35% of the food produced in this country goes to waste. By mobilizing moving companies, multifamily apartment communities, corporations, and volunteers, Move For Hunger has delivered more than 27 million pounds of food to food banks - providing 23 million meals for those in need.
