Forgotten Felines of Sonoma County



Our Spay/Neuter Clininc for the vulnerable and homeless cats in Sonoma County is the heart of our mission. We are looking for a couple of volunteers to join the Spay/Neuter Clinic Team on either Mondays, Wednesdays, or both if they would like from 1-5 PM.

This position, monitors the cat patients as they wake up from anesthesia, looking for signs of distress. Will "Tuck in"/close down the Spay van after the surgeries are done. Discharged patients to their human clients when they come for pick up. Help to empty trash/recycling, sweep, sanitize surfaces, or clean any remaining equipment. Requirements: Will need to stand/walk/be on your feet during the majority of the shift in order to watch the cats recover row by row. Carry cats in their traps/carriers. Some bending, stooping and lifting (not very heavy). Greet clients at the door and explain the overnight recovery procedures. Commit to FFSC's standard 6 month commitment to the role. But of course we would love it if you stayed longer. All volunteers must also be able to provide proof of vacination against Covid-19.
