ORGANIZATION: CASA CHIRILAGUA

When: Tuesdays or Wednesdays evenings, 7-9PM

Commitment: 2 hours per week for 10 weeks
Location: Casa Chirilagua Community Center 4109 Mount Vernon Ave Alexandria, VA 22305
Responsibilities: Support the learning of basic oral English skills for the adults in the community through teaching a class, being a teacher’s assistant, or through admin support. *Training, lesson plans, and materials provided.*
Additional Information:

As most of our volunteer opportunities are with children, we require all volunteers to submit a volunteer application with references, complete a background check, participate in child safety training and program training. All these efforts are to keep our children safe. As a faith-based not-for-profit, we openly offer Christian education at our programs. It is not a requirement to subscribe to a certain faith to volunteer, but we do suggest only those comfortable with open Christian teaching to volunteer.
