We are excited to announce that our 8th annual LUNG FORCE Walk - Detroit is going to happen on Sunday, October 3, in-person and outside - at the Detroit Zoo!

Join the American Lung Association in Michigan in their efforts to combat COVID-19 and other lung diseases at this event. Already we have had a surge of energy and excitement from our Walkers and their community, who are only too happy to participate in an in-person event, together yet safely!

LUNG FORCE Walks are a great time to celebrate and honor those fighting lung disease, and encourage those who've lost a loved one. Help capture the excitement and energy of the day by taking pictures of our Walkers as they mingle, learn, connect and walk!

You can go to our website www.LUNGFORCEdetroit.org to Register as a Volunteer and to find out more information and details for our day, including our Walk Safe Commitment - which outlines our intention to hold to the best health precautions, including spatial distancing, health screenings, and sanitation protocols.

We hope you can join us and help us defeat all lung diseases!

Mission Statement

The mission of the American Lung Association is to save lives by improving lung health and preventing lung disease.

Description

For more than 115 years, Americans have trusted us to protect their lungs, whether it's researching treatments and cures for lung diseases, keeping kids off tobacco, including e-cigarettes, or advocating for laws that protect the air we all breathe.

Our goals are big-defeat lung cancer, create a tobacco-free future, champion clean air for all, and improve the quality of life for those living with lung disease.
