Brazilian Day and Lavagem is an annual event to celebrate the music, dance and the traditions of Brazil, and is organized by BrasArte, a well known cultural center in Berkeley (1901 San Pablo Avenue, Berkeley). This year's event will be on Sunday, September 5, outdoors only. We are looking for energetic and organized people to help staff numerous areas throughout the festival, such as:
Artist Check-in & Hospitality - VIP entrance - Vendor Booth support - Decorating - Recycling - Beer Garden support - Festival set up - Festival break down
Brazilian Day & Lavagem festival will feature Brazilian music and dance on the main stage, a Lavagem (blessing by the children), Brazilian food and a beer & wine garden and caipirinha lounge.
It is going to be an unforgettable event, and we need our entire community to make it happen. Please join us as a volunteer and enjoy the magic and joy of this vivid festival throughout the day. Please spread the word!
We will have a virtual Volunteer Meeting this coming Saturday, August 28th at 5:30 pm (via Zoom). Invite a friend and learn more about the volunteering opportunities at this fun event!
No time to attend the upcoming meeting? No worries, we'll contact you via your preferred method of communication.
