Lions Tigers and Bears
Lions Tigers and bears is a 501(c)3 non profit, no breed, no sell, exotic animal rescue and education facility.

Lions Tigers & Bears is dedicated to providing a safe haven to abused and abandoned exotic animals and to inspiring an educational forum to end the exotic animal trade. As a state and federally licensed 501(c)(3) non-profit, we are a NO KILL, NO BREED, NO CONTACT sanctuary that allows the animals in our care to live out their lives with dignity in a caring and safe environment.

Our Vision

  • Rescue and provide a lifetime home to a responsible number of exotic animals that have been abused, confiscated, or are in danger of being destroyed for lack of a suitable home.
  • Ensure an enriching habitat, nutritious diet and quality veterinary care utilizing the highest safety standards.
  • Collaborate with others to promote legislation to stop the exploitation and unnecessary breeding of captive exotic animals.

Volunteer Visit Guides

We are currently recruiting volunteer visit guides who want to provide our visitors with an exceptional educational experience. As a visit guide, you will play an essential role in furthering our mission to end the exotic animal trade. In this role, you are not only an educator and advocate for abused exotic animals, but also a representative of Lions Tigers & Bears.

As a visit guide, you will interact with our visitors in a variety of ways:

  • Represent Lions Tigers & Bears as you share our mission and vision with guests
  • Educate guests about our rescued exotic animals to raise awareness and inspire change to stop the exotic animal trade
  • Lead guided educational visits with large groups of up to 30 people
  • Lead guided behind-the-scenes visits for private groups, including VIP guests
  • Ensure the safety of guests at all animal habitats throughout the sanctuary

All volunteer visit guides must meet the following requirements:

  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Commit to volunteering at least once a week from 8:00AM-4:00PM during days of operation (Tuesday-Saturday)
  • Have a positive attitude and strictly adhere to our volunteer policies, procedures, and grooming standards
  • Must be able to memorize the script provided (Public speaking experience preferred)
  • Must abide by all safety and emergency protocols
  • Must be comfortable handling money
  • Must be a team player, trustworthy, and committed to our mission
  • Must be able to walk approx. 2 hours around the sanctuary grounds in various climates during each visit

If you are enthusiastic about our vision and truly want to make a difference in the lives of our exotic animals, then being a volunteer visit guide may be for you. We ask that you take this opportunity seriously as it requires extensive training and commitment.

Please keep in mind, that we are a NO contact sanctuary, so we never have direct contact with our rescued animals. Our keepers are the sole caretakers regarding our exotic animals.
