The Southeastern Museums Conference (SEMC), a nonprofit membership organization, is an association of museums, museum staff, independent professionals and corporate partners. We focus on the Southeastern United State including: Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, West Virginia, Puerto Rico, and US Virgin Islands.

SEMC will be in Chattanooga October 24-27 for our annual conference and we’re looking for some awesome local volunteers to help us make this a great event for our members!

We’re looking for an outgoing individual who will act as the point person for our evening event being held at the Hunter Museum of Art. You will be organizing the group and checking them in prior to boarding the bus. At the end of the event, you will make sure everyone is gathered and checked in prior to returning to the hotel.

Masks are required.

Description

The Southeastern Museums Conference (SEMC) is the major regional networking organization for museums and their staff in the southeastern states. We are a vibrant community made up of museum staff and business partners who collectively support museums and cultural institutions in our region through programming and professional development and share in the successes of our members. We offer vast resources to support our members in their work and host a number of events for members to collaborate and engage with each other. Each year we host an annual conference for professional development, the 2021 conference is being held in beautiful Chattanooga, Tennessee October 25-27.
