Description
If you are searching for a way to make a difference in the lives of others, you belong here. Hospice volunteers are a valuable part of our care team. From providing companionship at a patient’s bedside, to running errands, assisting with administrative duties or creating gifts for patients and their families, one of our volunteer coordinators will help you discover the best fit for you. It is small deeds of kindness that so profoundly enhance the lives of our patients and those who love them.
Volunteering requires no medical experience and no hands on medical care is provided by volunteers. Volunteer candidates go through interview and screening processes to ensure the safety of our patients and their families. All hospice volunteers are given assignments that best suit their time, location, skills and interests. Training includes scheduled sessions, individual training, online education and on-site training for groups and organizations.
"Since you get more joy out of giving joy to others, you should put a good deal of thought into the happiness that you are able to give." - Eleanor Roosevelt
