A Family Friend works with the Host Family (see additional volunteer listing) and the family in crisis under the Safe Families for Children model. While the Host Family provides care for the children, the Family Friend does just what their title implies: provide help to the Host Family, whether in the form of meals, respite care, transportation, or other helpful tasks, They also spend time with the parents of the children, coaching and mentoring them.

Description
We train community volunteers to act as court advocates for children in the foster care system.
CASA Volunteers are a caring and consistent
adult presence for abused and neglected children:
For many abused and neglected children facing multiple challenges, a CASA volunteer may be the one constant adult presence in their lives.
Advocates stay with each case until it is closed and the child is placed in a safe, permanent home.
