Host Family (Safe Families for Children)
ORGANIZATION: CASA of Marion County, Inc.
Please visit the new page to apply.
Safe Families for Children is a program for families experiencing a crisis. A community of caring individuals wrap around the family, supporting them and giving the family the time and access to resources needed to change their trajectory.
The host family takes in and provides care for the child or children in the family for short periods of time.
Training is provided.
This is a faith based program. Host families do not need to be affiliated with a faith organization, but must be willing to work with them. The model uses a church to wrap around a family, providing a host family and additional resources to help the family change their trajectory and ultimately reunite successfully.
