In December 2020, Family Life Education officially opened our Community Food Pantry. Our pantry offers free food to anyone in the community who needs it.
We are looking for volunteers to help with weekly stocking and organizing. We also need volunteers to participate on our food distribution days - greeting guests, helping them pick and bag their items and helping with record keeping. Our distribution days are the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of each month (10:00am-11:30am) and the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays (4:00pm-5:30pm).
Full training is provided. Bi-lingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
Please note all volunteers must be fully vaccinated.

We are a small, but mighty non-profit organization dedicated to the equity, education, and empowerment of disenfranchised women, children and families in the Greater Hartford Area since 1987. We help "Level the Playing Field" by meeting participants where they are. Our Self-efficacy Service Approach differs from that of the norm in our field of work. By offering programs that lead to self-awareness and personal responsibility, we empower women to make substantive change, empowering their lives and ultimately that of their children and families.
