Position Summary

Responsible for scheduling and coordinating light airplane flights in and out of an operational center. Coordinating a flight schedule that includes the sometimes conflicting demands of flight training, transportation flights and public relations flights while projecting and planning for maintenance requirements. Requires not only organization, but good communications skills and tact to keep everyone working together in the common goal of speeding Bible translation through the use of aviation.

Position Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain recordkeeping system for daily flights
• Schedule flights and communicate departure/arrival times in consultation with pilot(s), administration and members
• Calculate loads and inform pilot of member's requirements
• Discuss flight priorities with administration, pilots and members
• Assist pilots in weigh-in and loading of passengers and cargo
• Maintain friendly, efficient communication between pilots, members and administration
• Keep records of flight charges to be made in accordance with procedures given by the entity finance department
• May maintain in-flight radio contact with pilots

Position Requirements

• A deep and growing walk with the Lord Jesus that includes your personal spiritual growth and the ability to support others in their spiritual growth
• Embrace the vision, mission and core values of JAARS
• Previous management experience or training
• Exposure to aviation programs is desirable
• Members will complete the normal training and orientation programs
• Short Term Members will be given an individualized training and orientation program
