Looking to put your mental health license to use when volunteering, or need continuing education? Help Service Members by becoming a Reconnection Workshop Facilitator or Coping with Deployments Instructor.

If you are a Clinically Licensed Behavioral Health Practitioner, we have an incredible volunteer opportunity that allows mental health professionals to make a difference in their military community!

The Red Cross teaches resiliency skills through three impactful programs - Coping with Deployments, Reconnection Workshops, and Mind-Body Workshops. The programs provide tools to address the challenges and stress of military life and reintegration with family and community.

What is this program?

The American Red Cross Service to the Armed Forces is offering virtual resiliency workshops to help guide members of the military and veteran communities on various topics centered around coping and communication skills. All workshops are live, interactive, and virtual and are facilitated by Red Cross mental health volunteers. Participants are encouraged to share in the discussion as though they were in person together. The goal of each workshop is to provide a safe, educational space for participants to discuss challenges and concerns and learn the tools to build upon their natural resilience.

The workshops are open to anyone with a military veteran affiliation - this includes partners, donors, service members, spouses, friends and staff members, 18-years and up. They are offered over the Zoom platform and led by licensed/credentialed mental health professionals.

Eligibility Requirement: Master’s level or higher mental health professional with independent, clinical and unencumbered license in one of the following disciplines: Psychiatry, Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, School Counseling/Psychology; Nursing (APN or CS in Mental Health area; RN’s who are board certified in Psy/MH).

Note: To be eligible, you must have an independent license and not be under clinical supervision.
