The Sisters of Saint Joseph Neighborhood Network is currently searching for volunteers to serve as leaders of workshops and classes for youth aged 6-18 years old. Such event topics may include arts & crafts, STEM, baking & cooking, self-esteem building & mental wellness, entrepreneurship, financial knowledge, or other practical arts. Workshops and classes may be held only one-time or may be planned to occur on a recurring basis. Workshops and class objectives will aim to build our youth so they may develop trust in others, feel affirmed in their identity, grow their self-esteem, and evolve their creativity and gifts. We hope our children will grow up to be healthy, happy, responsible, and empathetic citizens.
Material and consumable requirements for all workshops and classes will be purchased by SSJNN; we aim to support our volunteers and the success of our programming!
SSJNN is using the utmost caution as it relates to the coronavirus pandemic. Because of this, we are holding all youth programming events via Zoom or outdoors (weather permitting) until further notice. SSJNN will assist all volunteers in obtaining or updating required clearances.
If you are interested in serving our kids, please respond to this ad.
Thank you, we look forward to working with you!

Mission Statement
The SSJ Neighborhood Network, sponsored by the Sisters of St. Joseph of Northwestern Pennsylvania, provides leadership, advocates for local residents, and partners with the broader community to develop opportunities for both personal growth and neighborhood revitalization.
Description
The Sisters of St. Joseph Neighborhood Network (SSJNN) was formed in January of 2000 for the purpose of reaching out to the neighborhood from 12th to 26th Streets and State Street to Cranberry Street in Erie, Pennsylvania. The SSJNN's initial efforts included a resident survey to obtain basic demographic information, identify community needs, and assess residents' perceptions of the neighborhood. Based on the information gathered, the SSJNN has coordinated efforts with various other community providers and developed new programs to address the most critical needs in the neighborhood.
