To work with Noah Homes residents and staff to support the care of the Noah Homes gardens and maintain them to an excellent standard. To help teach our residents how to maintain a garden and create a community around the activity.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Once or twice a week, assist Noah Homes residents with gardening activities (by Casa de Flores, Casa de Palmas, or the flower beds by the other houses)
- Help keep the gardens clean and tidy and dispose of litter
KEY EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, & ATTRIBUTES
- An interest and knowledge of basic garden experience (Not essential but willing to learn)
- An awareness of health & safety issues in the outdoors and in the use of gardening equipment
- Ability to work on both own initiative and as part of a team
- Able to work with minimal supervision
- Reliable and flexible
- Good communication skills
- Knowledge of implementation of basic and planting and gardening skills (Desirable)
- An ability to maintain confidentiality
- Good physical health
- A good sense of humor

Description
Noah Homes provides residential homes and services for adults with developmental disabilities. Promoting security and well being Noah exists to maximize independence by encouraging self-determination within a flourishing environment of dignity, respect, personal growth, and love. Today, there are nearly 90 men and women we like to call "the folks" celebrating life every day on these beautiful grounds.
