ORGANIZATION: JAGI Initiative

Position Summary:
To undertake a project to develop JAGI Initiative fundraising program including the planning and administration of regular funding, donations, and special events.

Purpose of the role:
The main purpose of the role is to help formalize and improve the fundraising and donations program to ensure successful income streams that are efficient to administer and are consistent with our values.

The role will assist in the structured development of the planning, management, and administration of special
events(e.g., trivia nights, BBQ fundraisers, corporate sponsorships), and will create or improve the administration procedure to regular, passive income.

Helping towards long-term relationship management and sponsorship opportunity development for ongoing financial support and this role will assist in these endeavors.

The role will have some responsibility for coordinating volunteers for fundraising and events.

Main dues and responsibilities
* Develop the fundraising program via:
o Coordinate and planning of fundraising campaigns, including special events and passive income
o Coordination of the donation strategy
o Researching new opportunities, liaising with potential corporate sponsors and relationship
management

Position Description -
o Administration of fundraising activities including tracking the progress of goals and outcomes
o Some coordinating on of fundraising and events volunteers
o General administration such as event material preparation, document creating filing;
processing of mail and email, etc. as it relates to fundraising

Skills & Experience required
* Well-organized
* Experience with fundraising, PR, marketing, or event management is beneficial
* Prior experience in grant and proposal writing and submission would be advantageous

We are Jeremiah A. Grimes Initiative, made for my 5-year-old son who lost his life in a fatal car accident. As a result of this horrific life event, that forever changed our family dynamics, it led me to wonder. Never would have dreamed that I would have experienced something like this in my life. But what about others who do not have any measures in place? Wouldn’t it be a blessing to plan and have in place the proper documents and funding that would sustain your spouse and children when your time on this Earth is complete? One of our founding purposes is to inform you and your family on the processes to do just that and more, as a measure to protect your family from hardships. We do this by educating you in the areas of life insurance and accident prevention and recovery so that you can make informed decisions that protect you and your family.
