Mission Statement
NAMI Treasure Valley is dedicated to building a better future for our neighbors, friends, and family affected by mental and mood disorders. We advocate for effective prevention, diagnosis, treatment, support, research, and recovery that improves the quality of life of everyone who is affected by mental illness. We envision a world where all persons affected by mental illness experience resiliency, recovery, and wellness. We also envision a world where mental illness is treated the same as a physical ailment by ending the stigmas associated with the various diagnoses of mental and mood disorders. We advocate to improve the conditions for and on behalf of those affected by mental illness.
Description
The National Alliance on Mental Illness Treasure Valley was founded with a simple goal: to inspire better lives for Treasure Valley residents affected by mental illness.
