TAKE BACK THE NIGHT FOUNDATION

We go everywhere to educate anyone about ending sexual violence.

This opportunity requires commitment, stamina, talent, and knowledge about sexual assault prevention (we can teach you about prevention). Learn our interactive script and talking points to have the opportunity to perform in front of millions of students in high schools and colleges around the world -- travel expenses and stipend paid.

Work under the tutelage of Katie Koestner, the first woman in the world to speak out nationally and publicly as the victim of campus "date" rape at age 18. Katie appeared on the cover of TIME magazine and has been the subject of an HBO movie from Academy Award-winning director Sheila Nevins.

Garner mentoring and exposure for a critical social justice cause to prevent sexual harassment, assault, and gender discrimination. Stand on the stages of MIT, Harvard, Stanford, and elite institutions, as well as those serving underprivileged urban and rural communities.

Requirements:

  • Age 25+
  • Driver's license and clean driving record
  • Background check
  • Demo video
  • Personal and professional recommendations
  • Ability to memorize and deliver 25-35 minute script
  • Ability to interact with audience in a non-judgmental, neutral manner
  • Ability to restrain from emotional engagement despite personal experiences and opinions

Take Back The Night serves to support survivors of sexual violence and works to end sexual violence in all forms. We hold events, rallies, marches, vigils, conferences, support sessions, and educational opportunities to further our mission and goals. For over half a decade Take Back The Night Events have reached more than 10 million people in over 30 countries and more than 500 communities.

For more than 50 years, Take Back The Night Events have reached more than 10 million people in over 30 countries and more than 500 communities. We are comprised of volunteers who work tirelessly for our mission and cause. We offer summer and semester internships to qualified applicants.
