SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA GOLDEN RETRIEVER RESCUE

This position understands all the elements and capabilities of SCGRR’s website along with the Board’s vision and guidelines as well as SCGRR’s "voice". The Web Manager will be the primary point of contact for any web issues, concerns, projects and changes - making sure changes are well thought out, approved when necessary and prioritized. The Web Manager will also create and update any Guides or facilitate training needed by other volunteers that have specific responsibilities for content or updates to the website.

Skills required are project management, great communication, a high-level understanding of simple web technologies (especially WordPress) and the ability to coordinate activities amongst a group of volunteers to get things done. A plus would be editorial / web producer skills and/or having managed a WordPress website before.

Requires commitment of an estimated 5-10 hours / wk.

Reporting is matrixed between Technology Chair, President and Communications Chair

Mission Statement

Our mission is to rescue homeless Golden Retrievers, Golden mixes, and like breeds in Southern California from situations of abuse and neglect regardless of conditions or circumstances.

Description

Southern California Golden Retriever Rescue is the third largest Golden Retriever Rescue in the country and second-largest in the Western Region. Our dogs are placed in foster homes, temperament tested, socialized, and vetted prior to adoption. Our goal is to find the perfect home for each individual dog with the help of their personal representative.
