Storytelling, awareness-building, and communication are keys to public charities interacting with their broader public beneficiaries.
We are looking for a volunteer to help our staff get booked on podcasts and get booked to give talks at conferences.
Our past experiences giving talks include:
- Keynote Talk at HOPE (Hackers on Planet Earth) - iconic hacker conference
- Keynote Talk at FWD50 - international govtech conference
- RightsCon - International Human Rights conference; Panelist and Lightning Talks
- Foresight Institute - panelist and technical presentations
- Upgrading Society Podcast, FWD Thinking Podcast, etc
- TEDx Talk - on the future of governance
- LD4 - on linked data in libraries
This role would ask a volunteer to:
1.) Get to know the organization, our work, and the subjects on which we can speak insightfully
2.) Create and maintain a list of relevant podcasts and means to contact the podcast team
3.) Reach out and pitch our speakers, get our team booked on podcasts, and maintain a speaking schedule

The Society Library extracts arguments, claims, and evidence from various forms of media to compile databases which represent the ideas and arguments from all points of view starting with the most high-impact, persistent, and polarizing issues; to be visualized and made freely available to the public in a digital library. The long-term vision of the Society Library is to create a library of ideas not only on social and political subjects, but also philosophy, spirituality, and social values.
