Do you enjoy history and sharing it with others? JHS is seeking a few new volunteer docents
to join our team at the Historic Parish House and Museum. We're open on Tuesday afternoons, Wednesday mornings, and Saturday mornings. Docents can serve as little or as much as they would like in three-hour increments - anything from a day a month to three days per week.
No additional volunteer opportunities at this time.
About Johnstown Historical Society, Ltd.
701 Charlotte Street, Johnstown, CO 80534, US
The mission of the Johnstown Historical Society is to interpret, conserve and exhibit collections pertaining to the history and material culture of the City of Johnstown, the local Johnstown/Milliken area, Weld County, and the State of Colorado.
The Johnstown Historical Society was founded in 1987 to educate the public about Johnstown's unique history and preserve it for future generations. JHS manages the Historic Parish House and Museum at 701 Charlotte Street in Johnstown, Colorado. We have an awesome group of dedicated volunteers and are always looking for new ones to join our team that perform a variety of tasks to help us with the museum and several great fundraising events each year.
A few of our events are the annual (20 years!) and very well attended Stitches in Time Quilt and Craft Fair, our History and Mystery Cemetery Crawl, and Holiday open house and wreath/tree auction. We're also expanding our open days at the museum and are currently seeking a few volunteer docents. We have other volunteer opportunities as well. We'd love to hear from you!
