This volunteer position is provided with the opportunity to learn how to work directly with refugee and immigrant communities, local churches, nongovernment agencies, & other humanitarian programs to provide practical assistance to refugee clients & help them become self-sufficient and productive citizens for God's glory. 8-40 hours per week for more than two months. Minimum age of 21 years of age.

Description
Founded in 1892, Denver Rescue Mission is the oldest full-service Christian charity serving the poor and needy in the Rocky Mountain region.
Lawrence Street Shelter is our most recognizable location because of the neon "Jesus Saves" sign on the corner of the building. Services at this location include shelter (up to 315 men nightly), medical services and relational and emotional support for those experiencing homelessness.
The Crossing provides a long-term New Life Program location for men; the STAR Transitional Program for homeless families and single men and women with children; and temporary housing for New Life Program graduates, interns and visitors.
