Mission Statement

Assistance League volunteers transforming the lives of children and adults through community programs.

Description

The Assistance League of Metro Columbus provides community service to a variety of populations.

Our members work constructing and delivering hygiene kits to homeless shelters, interact with seniors in residential settings and provide shoes and school supplies to students.

Our funds come from grants, partnerships, donations and various fundraising events throughout the year.

New projects can be suggested by members and are considered for addition.

We partner with Westminster Thurber, Huckleberry House, VanBuren Shelter, the Homeless Families Foundation, the Open Shelter, and Emergency Rooms in hospitals in Central Ohio.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Three to five hours per month including a one hour monthly meeting. Some members choose to participate in more activities and spend more time.
  • Members must provide their own transportation to and from meetings and activities.
