39 acre Big Oak Canyon is home to Earthroots Field School, offering nature connection & education for all ages. Join us to build garden boxes for the childrens program, where healthy food will be grown to be eaten by the participants for years to come.
Parents will be responsible for their children throughout the day. All minors need a parent or guardian's signature on the release form. Tools will be provided. Click the button below to sign up.
Activities may include moving soil in a wheelbarrow, digging trenches, laying irrigation, sawing wood, drilling boards together, filling raised beds with soil, trimming branches, moving mulch.
Big Oak Canyon is a rugged landscape with steep slopes and beautiful views. Protective shoes and clothing are suggested.
All participants must bring drinking water, as there is no potable water on site. The restroom on site is a portable toilet.
Shade is provided by oak trees and EZ ups.
