The Compliance Team supports SOAR365's goal to Strive for Excellence Through Continuous Improvement. Team members work with all departments to exceed compliance expectations for HIPAA, risk management, federal, state, and local audit requirements, and other initiatives to help the organization achieve its Best-in-Class vision.
This student or experienced volunteer will work with our Assistant Vice President of Compliance, Case Management and Quality, as well as the Compliance and Quality Coordinator to help analyze metrics and complete administrative tasks for quality improvement and compliance across several departments. Duties will include data collection, conducting audits, data entry and organization, file reviews, creating and working with audit spreadsheets and workbooks, mailings, and other administrative tasks.
PLEASE NOTE: This role requires fully on-site service.
The ideal volunteer will:
- Have a willingness to learn along with professional drive and flexibility
- Possess a level of comfort and fluency in a professional office environment
- Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Have excellent Microsoft Office skills, especially with Excel
- Appropriate for Business/Finance majors
Minimum commitment is 3-4 hours per week for three months.
Flexible hours (must be on a T, W, Th) with one check-in meeting bi-weekly with supervisor.

With multiple locations throughout central Virginia, SOAR365 programs span the lifecycle and assist people with disabilities to live happy, successful and meaningful lives. Programs and services include: Pediatric Therapy Services; Adult & Youth Day Services; Workforce Development Services; and Residential (Summer Camp and Respite) Services.
