Assist our members during our academic enrichment programming. Our after-school programming changes during the summer to Summer Academics and fun! Clubs are in need of volunteers to assist staff!
Assist tutors with academic skills practice, primarily for elementary age students. Provide staff help with arts and crafts, games and other leisure activities. The Boys & Girls Club of Rockford provides area youth a program where they can go to feel safe and at the same time be exposed to positive, caring adult role models who have developed programs to help them succeed in school and in life. Our clubs offer diverse program activities in three areas: Academic Success, Good Character and Leadership Development, and Healthy and Life Styles. Our motto "great futures start here" is a true representation of what we strive for at our clubs. Volunteer as little or as much that you can!

Mission Statement
The mission of the Boys & Girls Club of Rockford is to improve the quality of life for youth in the community regardless of sex, race, or economic background. We presently operate 5 locations each in its own unique geographical location with an average daily attendance of 600 serving more than 8,000 youth either through its membership or outreach efforts annually. The organization’s overall vision is grounded in a multi-faceted approach toward life-long learning. In support of this approach, the organization’s programs are designed to build character and leadership skills; to promote education and career development; to foster health and life skills; to encourage participation in the arts, sports, fitness, and recreation; to build cultural diversity; and to deepen knowledge of technology.
Description
The Boys and Girls Club of Rockford's programs and services promote and enhance the development of our local youth. We provide a safe place to learn and grow, while having fun during after-school and sports, special activities throughout the week. Our clubs offer diverse program activities in three areas: Academic Success, Good Character and Leadership Development, and Healthy and Life Styles. Our aim is to ensure that all Club members graduate from high school on time, ready for a post-secondary education and a 21st Century career. Our motto "Great Futures Start Here" is a true representation of what we strive for each day.
