CADRE (Collaborating Agencies' Disaster Relief Effort) www.cadresv.org, is seeking new Board members and Subject Matter Experts (Advisors) to help us grow our organization. We're looking for innovative ideas to build a resilient community, engage more organizations and build a culture of mutual support and readiness.
CADRE is part of a national network of organizations that support nonprofit, faith, private sector and government disaster response and recovery in Santa Clara County by facilitating planning discussions and training opportunities. We seek opportunities to improve disaster recovery to include underserved communities and those who are not native English speakers.
We rely on grants and donations to maintain operations.
Board members provide strategic direction, vision and expertise in areas such as human resources, legal, finances, marketing, fund development and partner engagement.
This is a 2+ year commitment, currently meeting virtually every other month. Board members are expected to serve on at least one project or committee.

Mission Statement
The mission of CADRE is to strengthen coordination of the disaster response and recovery efforts of non-profit, faith-based, government, private and other disaster relief entities in Santa Clara County, through partnerships, planning, training, exercises and emergency activation.
Description
CADRE (Collaborating Agencies’ Disaster Relief Effort) is a leading network of organizations providing community services that are essential in times of disaster.
CADRE coordinates organizational preparedness planning in non-disaster times and activates to respond and provide essential services during and after a disaster.
CADRE works closely with Santa Clara County’s emergency management community to build disaster resilience among service organizations through communication, coordination and preparedness training.
