Kindred Hospice provides care, compassion and support to patient's and their loved one's during end of life care. Our caregiver relief and respite volunteer role is a unique opportunity to truly give back to others in need during this difficult time. Volunteers will sit with a patient while a caretaker can get out of the house for a few hours in order to run errands, go to appointments or just have time for self care and some stress relief. Time spent with the patient varies and can participating in leisure activities, watching TV or listening to music with the patient, or having supportive conversations promoting life review. This is an ongoing position in which you will make visits to the same patient over the course of the time the patient is on services, or for however long the family may need your assistance.
