Parents in our community have had a difficult time finding necessary childcare. They are in higher need of the supports Baker Relief Nursery offers, especially our respite childcare and therapeutic classroom. Our model focuses on having more adults in the classroom to support young children (infants and toddlers) with individual attention.

Description
Baker Relief Nursery is a new non-profit in Baker City, Oregon. We started services to families with young children in the beginning of 2021. We work with high-stressed parents that need a break and extra support to be the best parents they can be. Our core services offer parents a break through our therapeutic classroom and respite services, individualized support through one-on-one home visits, parent education groups, and family fun events, as well as a diaper bank, food pantry, transportation supports and clothes closet to cover their basic needs. We utilize volunteers in the classroom to work one-on-one with children, as well as helping organize our diaper bank and clothes closet, arranging fundraising events, and in many other ways. Please contact us if you would like to learn more on how you can help!
