Willing to help children recruited by terrorist groups? The CRTG Working Group is the only I/NGO in the world exclusively dedicated to protect children from the scourge of terrorism. We are an ambitious, even if pre-revenue, organization and would be very grateful for the support of a dedicated volunteer who would like to contribute 20 hours a week to our mission. We are to layout our fundraising strategy in September and are seeking for someone who would like to assist us with its implementation.
Objective of this Role:
- Promote awareness of the CRTG Working Group mission and work
- Research major donors, corporations and foundations
- Craft grant applications and fundraising proposals
- Plan fundraising initiatives to help the CRTG Working Group meet financial goals
Since the CRTG Working Group is a start up non-profit we are now seeking to build a strong team. We would be happy to consider our volunteers for full staff positions as soon as financial conditions will be met. Our mission is to protect children from terrorist trafficking and to inspire a long-lasting change in the way in which children victims of terrorist coercion and violence are treated.
Description
The Working Group on Children Recruited by Terrorist and Violent Extremist Groups is the premier non-profit organization in the world exclusively dedicated to protect the rights and well-being of child victims and survivors of terrorist use and exploitation. Founded in 2018 in the context of the CoNGO Committee to the United Nations with an aim to address violent extremist through tailored approaches and to implement comprehensive strategies to prevent violence against children at the hand of terrorist and violent extremist actors, the CRTG Working Group has firstly brought this issue to the attention of United Nations entities, United Nations Member States and informed in the areas of crime, terrorism prevention and criminal justice as related to children. In 2020, the CRTG Working Group was incorporated as an independent 501(c)3 registered charity in New York City.
