If you enjoy working with the public and helping with information needs, then the Paso Robles City Library has just the volunteer opportunity for you!
The Reference Desk and the Children's Desk are both in need of volunteers who are interested in helping patrons find the materials/information they are looking for. Sometimes, it may be as simple as directing them to the appropriate shelf. Sometimes if may involve placing a request for an item from another library. Sometimes it may involve deeper digging. No matter what, problem solving is always satisfying. Other tasks involve overseeing use of the public Internet computers (very limited technical assistance needed) and shelving books during quiet times.
There are morning and afternoon shifts available Monday-Friday. Must be 18 or over to apply.
