ORGANIZATION: Terra Lingua USA

Terra Lingua USA is an established and accredited, non-profit organization specializing in promoting cultural and educational opportunities for high school aged students worldwide.

Through our International Partners in Germany, France, Spain, Italy, Brazil and more, we offer rewarding home stay experiences for students looking to expand their academic education in the U.S. by immersing themselves into the culture of a local family.

Interested in bringing some culture to your family? Host one of these outstanding students! Any family can host; families with/without children, empty-nesters, single/domestic partner households are welcome. A simple application, interview, and background check and you’re ready to experience the rewards of hosting.

Our students are carefully screened, medically insured, speak English, and have their own spending money. They attend high school and are expected to maintain specific academic levels of achievement. They join your family in everyday activities. All you need to provide is room and board, and treat them as a part of the family.

Mission Statement

Terra Lingua USA is a not-for-profit, educational organization dedicated to promoting language education and international understanding by providing family homestay immersion experiences. We offer affordable and quality cultural exchanges through an experienced and caring network.

Description

Terra Lingua USA, founded in October 1997, is established as a not-for-profit educational organization to coordinate activities in the U.S.
Women-founded and run, we are a tight-knit organization that believes that all teens should be afforded the opportunity to study in the United States regardless of their financial status. We keep our prices as low as possible and welcome teens from all preferences, disabilities, and cultures. Placing a student within your community or becoming a host family affords families with an amazing experience not learned from a book.
