Tech Support Role for Virtual AMOB

-A basic knowledge of Zoom skills and tech issues is required, but the tech support person is not expected to be able to solve complicated issues or computer problems. Participants are encouraged to have a basic knowledge of Zoom prior to the start of class.

-No knowledge of A Matter of Balance subject material is expected.

-Commit to 2-9 sessions of A Matter of Balance -virtual class over a 4-8 week class series

-Be present during Zoom class in case any issues arise

-Assist coaches as needed if difficulty with running a video or accessing slides or other tech problems arise. The videos and slides will be stored on a SMAA site and shared with tech support ahead of time.

-Assist participants with connectivity issues or computer set up/Zoom skills (especially important during session 0 which is focused on these topics)

-Preferably be willing to download a phone app on your phone so you can be reached if a phone call is necessary to assist a participant.


**Due to the ongoing COVID-19 Pandemic, proof of vaccination status is required for all in-person opportunities at Southern Maine Agency on Aging.**

MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN YOUR COMMUNITY!

Southern Maine Agency on Aging Volunteer Services provides opportunities to make a difference in the community through volunteer service. Volunteers contribute anywhere from a few to over forty hours a week, serving through schools, meals on wheels, hospitals and other nonprofit and public organizations to help meet critical community needs. We offer maximum flexibility and choice to our volunteers. RSVP matches the personal interests and skills of the over age 55 volunteer to opportunities in selected imapct service areas to help solve community problems. RSVP volunteers receive supplemental insurance while on duty, and on-the-job training from the agency or organization where they are placed.
