Looking for All-Star volunteer board members!!!

(This is a virtual opportunity but must be performed anywhere within the continental U.S.)

Safest Drug is a nonprofit that exists to prevent and alleviate medication-related illness, disability, and death in the United States. We’re involved with safe drug disposal, health screenings, research, and public events. New additions to our team are always welcome!

Join us and help highlight drug awareness and safety from medication harm. Get involved in research, fundraising, social media, finances, or another creative area!

Typical skills/qualities we look in a Board member are the following:

  • Contributes to a range of meetings/committees
  • Guides items related to event planning, grant writing, or nonprofit work
  • All-around team player; listens, shares positivity, impresses
  • Ability to commit 1 hour per week (or about 3 hours per month)

Bachelors degree not required but preferred.

We have multiple committees and projects; lots of idea-sharing to go around. Join Safest Drug as a volunteer Board member and help better the medical industry...let’s protect everyone from medication-related harm!

Our mission is to reduce medication-related illness, disability and death in the United States with education, research and advocacy.

Description

Founded in 2019, Safest Drug was formed to address broad systemic issues in the U.S. which place millions of consumers at risk for medication-related morbidity and mortality every day. Our work aims to broaden the understanding of what it means to be medicated in America while also saving lives and recognizing that the wide array of root causes which contribute to this public health problem. We also aim to alleviate the suffering of those who have been impacted by medication-induced poor health outcomes and disability.
