Are you 18+ and interested in training and mentoring the future leaders of America? Civil Air Patrol is the US Air Force's civilian auxiliary. We are looking for members interested in Emergency Services, Aviation, Leadership and personal growth. Military experience is NOT required. Most of our Senior Members also work with cadets in some capacity. Our Cadet Program is for ages 12-20 and focuses on training youth in Leadership, Aerospace, Character Development, Physical Fitness, Emergency Service and much more.
Although adults in our squadron, depending on the duty they pick, may work with cadets; as a composite squadron, our adult members are also pursuing their own interests within the program. Emergency Services, Aerospace and Cyber, Ground Team, Mission Readiness, Leadership, Professional Development, Finance, and many more areas of need and opportunity are there for you. This program is not just a youth organization, our Senior Members advance and promote in the program based on their performance and initiative. Easy access and extensive materials are available for training purposes and mentors are assigned to give you all the support necessary to success in our program.
**CADET PROTECTION IS PARAMOUNT AND STRICTLY ENFORCED. OUR CADETS AND ADULT LEADERS ARE TRAINED AND CIVIL AIR PATROL IS COMMITED TO THE SAFETY OF EVERY MEMBER IN OUR PROGRAM. An FBI background check is required before any involvement with squadron members.
About CIVIL AIR PATROL
Meeting Locale: 4100 E. Main St., Columbus, OH 43213, US
Supporting America's communities with emergency response, diverse aviation and ground services, youth development, and promotion of air, space and cyber power.
Civil Air Patrol has been at the forefront of community service for six decades - in times of war and peace - its members giving far more than they could hope to receive in return. CAP’s members do this for love of country, respect for their fellow man, and their need to contribute to their communities. CAP performs no warfighting function, it is the benevolent auxiliary of the United States Air Force, performing essential non-combatant missions for the Air Force in time of need; as embodied in our mission statement. This relationship with the uniformed services, and the Air Force in particular, is at the heart of CAP’s existence, as it has been almost since its inception. CAP was founded on 1 December 1941, just six days before Pearl Harbor. Its three-fold mission of Emergency Services, Aerospace Education and the Cadet Program is CAP’s defining triad, dedicated to serving the American people through education, welfare and personal development services. As technological and societal needs change the nature of what CAP is asked to do, it adapts to meet those needs.
