The Alzheimer's Association Oregon & SW Washington Chapter is looking for Recruitment volunteers to help us with our newest national signature event, The Longest Day. Participants and teams do activities they love, while raising awareness and funds in support of those with Alzheimer's disease and all other dementia.

You are invited to join The Longest Day Recruitment Subcommittee, where you will help to recruit businesses and participants from clubs and organizations to participate in The Longest Day.

Responsibilities of Recruitment volunteers include:

- Meeting and networking with business leaders and individuals within communities to recruit team leads.

- Recruiting The Longest Day participants.

- Developing and implementing strategies to recruit new participants from corporations, organizations, facilities, schools, support groups, religious groups, etc.

- Working with The Longest Day Committee Chair and Staff Partner to plan and execute the Participant Kickoff Party in January 2022.

Willingness to learn about event and how activities/fundraising works withing The Longest Day

The Longest Day is all about love. Love for all those affected by Alzheimer’s disease. Between now and June 21, 2022, people across the world will do what they love to honor those affected by Alzheimer’s and all other dementia. Together, we will raise funds and awareness for the care, support, and research efforts of the Alzheimer’s Association.

The Alzheimer’s Association Oregon & SW Washington Chapter is part of the Alzheimer’s Association, the world's leading voluntary health organization in Alzheimer's care, support and research. From its offices in Portland, Bend and Medford, the Oregon Chapter provides education and support for people diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease, as well as their families and caregivers. In addition, it offers local support groups, early-stage engagement programs, community education classes and a 24/7 Helpline (800-272-3900).
