Center for Domestic Peace

Are you a young person or know someone who might be interested in joining an online focus group to discuss millennial giving and philanthropy?

Center for Domestic Peace is looking for a pool of volunteers, ages 25-40, to help us understand and think critically about how to reach and connect with millennials in order to move them to action and ultimately increase donor support. Please email me if you are interested in learning more or have suggestions as to who might want to participate! We hope to hold this meeting on Zoom this fall.

Thank you for your time and support.

Mission Statement

What We Do: Center for Domestic Peace mobilizes individuals and communities to transform our world so domestic violence no longer exists, creating greater safety, justice and equality. Who We Are: Center for Domestic Peace provides intervention services that enhance the immediate and long-term safety of victims of domestic violence and engages diverse communities in domestic violence prevention. To that end, we offer a comprehensive range of support services including emergency shelter, short- and long-term transitional housing, advocacy, legal referrals, and programs that offer individuals concrete ways to end their violence. Our Volunteers provide domestic violence counseling on our hotlines; facilitate support groups; help with our speaker's bureau or help with our events and fundraisers. Some volunteer opportunities, such as being a hotline advocate or support group facilitator, require a training course and certification. Other opportunities, such as fundraising and events, do not.
