On Monday evenings, adults in our program attend Life Skills classes from 6:30pm - 7:30pm. During that time, the children are either in Childcare (ages 6 months - 8 years old/1st grade) or Tutoring (2nd grade through high school).
Tutoring volunteers are needed to work with middle or high school students. Volunteers will work alongside a staff tutor to provide homework help or basic tutoring. This is offered in a space set aside for this purpose, and children will be separated by age group to maximize ability to offer the best individualized support, as is feasible.
Minimum of two adults present at all times. Preference for multiple weeks in a row, but we will work with your availability. (A longer commitment is welcome!)
No specific training is required, but comfort working with middle school and high school students is ideal.
